Three weeks in Mexico comes with a lot of limitations - the country is just so big. We spared out Yucatan due to expected mass tourism, only to find out that Oaxaca and San Cristobal were flooded with tourists just the same. Our tour started in Baja California Sur, visiting La Paz and some other towns in the area, then crossing the gulf of California, we took the El Chepe train from Los Mochis to the Canyon del Cobre, twice as deep and four times the area of Grand Canyon in US - quite impressive. From Chihuahua we flew to Mexico City to visit main sites here. On for a day in Puebla, three days around Oaxaca, and a week in Chiapas with colorful markets, tropical climate and the mystical Palenque ruins as ultimate highlight of our tour.
