Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon, is a loud and bustling commercial capital. It has lots of markets, a neat downtown area, colonial architecture up to the 20th century, mixed with asian housing and temples.
On the other hand, the Mekong Delta around Can Tho is a good spot to leave the tourist's path and to experience traditional life. Here people live on the water pretty much, load their boats full of goods and look for customers on the floating markets.
In places, rice noodles are still made by hand. This sounds simple, but photography is often thankful for manual labour.
