Starting off with a speed boat from Huay Xai in Laos' far west going along the Mekong river for six hours at probably 50 to 60 km/h. Not enough time on this trip for the beautiful mountains around Luang Prabang. Then stopover in Vang Vieng (these are new from 2013). Then on to Vientiane.
