Long May weekend in Odessa and around - city life and Dniester National park, beaches that are waiting for summer. A visit to the opera house, the good food, and lovely people. The city is full of these beautiful old buildings, French and Italian style from the 19th century, with two stories all aournd, and three to five stories in the center. Those old soviet cars mix with the new style. People are outside, in the parks, play games, talk, hang out. Summer tourists, probably mostly from the eastern European region, are yet missing from the scene, but the infrastructure near the beaches is waiting for them. It is most astounding though how few international tourists are here at all, while they flock into Riga, for example.
